The 6-Minute
Legato Workout

Six finger combinations. Sixty seconds each. The daily exercise that fixed my legato.

Why this works

Three things to keep in mind

01

Signal, not strength

Legato isn't built with finger muscle. It's built with cleaner signals from your brain to your fingers. Speed of transition makes the sound, not pressure.

02

Pluck, don't pull

A pull-off is a pluck with the fretting hand. Don't yank the string sideways. Strike the new note clean and listen for it.

03

Form first, always

Tempo doesn't matter on this exercise. Clean does. If you're getting fatigued, you're using too much force. Slow down and relax.
