You Don't Need More Lessons.
You Need A Practice System.

I've always practiced a lot of technique throughout my life. My technique was okay, but I was never able to reach a really high level. I always thought that maybe I just didn't have the talent to become really good. But after learning from Jon how to practice properly, I now understand the mistake I was making.

I used to practice fast and sloppy, thinking that my playing would become cleaner the more I played it. Jon showed me that this is not the right way. Instead, you should practice everything perfectly, so you don't practice mistakes.

I've been doing this for about a year now, and my technique has improved tremendously. This is a practice method I will keep for the rest of my life.

It changed my playing a lot. But for me personally more important: it changed the way I practice. Jon gave me an insight on how to practice systematically and offered well arranged practice schedules that helped me overcome the plateau I was on for quite some time. Now I can see improvements in my playing regularly by following his practice routines.

Working systematically on single- and multiple-string picking solidified my picking mechanics more than expected. I can now consistently pick 10-15 bpm faster across the strings than before, without pushing it and having my technique fall apart.

The pentatonic picking book is worth 10x what it's sold at. My picking speed has improved immensely. But most importantly my accuracy also.

This technique helped me instantly. Within minutes I could already play a Yngwie lick way faster and more accurate than before. And your views on practice opened my eyes, because I could find myself in this ‘playing, finding mistakes, playing more and not correcting’ and everything you said made so much sense.

I've been trying this technique for years and not quite getting there. Only partial results. I've tried your method and I'm so impressed with the instant results. It is almost like it was the missing piece to finally nail this technique that has eluded me for decades. Anyone who reads this, I'm not joking, it works.

Your Looping technique is extremely formative. I see my progress day by day, and yet I've been playing for 24 years. I'm still learning more every day, and a new approach to the guitar for me now is due in good part to you.

It was extremely difficult for the first few weeks. It actually made my brain hurt. It was so different to how I had memorized the major scale up and down the neck. One morning it just clicked when I was improvising. I was feeling the intervals and not thinking about them. It has been a game changer.

Everything is so well structured, so it's very clear what you have to do and how to do it. Now that I've been practicing for a while, I noticed that I started to hear details that I couldn't before, and even spot musical elements in songs that I listen to. I never post reviews but I have to say this. I'm a 50 year old in guitar rehab, trying to catch up on lost time, and using Jon's approach has made such a difference to my playing. Even though I only have time to practice about 3 times a week, I'm seeing big improvements.

I needed to dial in my skills working across the neck and seeing the scales in that direction on one string. I still practice leaping fours almost every day. It was a game changer to be able to play runs like this.

I'm at week 5, completely consistent, haven't missed a day. I find the most benefit being the consistency, keeping the schedule, and keeping the slow tempo.
