Discover Your Perfect Picking Motion
This lesson covers how you can find your picking motion by using speed bursts.
Once you can play 5-6 notes in a burst, this should be significantly faster than you can play 20-30 notes. You want to "reverse engineer" that motion by analyzing it and slowing it down.
This motion is what you should use as a model when you play your regular exercises at a much slower tempo. It doesn't have to be a 100% replica of the fast motion, but try to get it as close as possible.
Doing this will ensure you don't program a picking motion that won't work past a certain speed. You can also rest assured that it'll work for you, since you've in a sense looked into the future of your own playing.
