Part 2: Two-String Shapes

In this second part of the routine, we'll break the 3-note-per-string major scale shapes into two-string groupings.

We're using the same two practice tools as before:

  • Transition Time
  • Finger Choreography

Instead of playing all six strings, you're isolating just two strings at a time, using ascending and descending six-note groupings.

This is one of the most effective ways to:

  • Improve your control across string transitions
  • Get more comfortable moving across the neck, not just up and down

Watch the video first. I walk you through exactly how to practice this. If you skip ahead, you'll likely miss key details that make the routine effective.
